3. Cosmetic Grade Talc
Talc, hydrous magnesium silicate, is a soft mineral used in food, drugs, cosmetics, and industrial applications. Cosmetic-grade talc is produced in conformance with United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and industry specifications to ensure that it is asbestos fiber-free. Talc is used in cosmetics and personal care products primarily as an anti-caking and skin-softening agent.
4. Disodium EDTA
Disodium EDTA is a crystalline powder that helps prevent the deterioration of cosmetics. It also helps to maintain clarity and to avoid rancidity.
5. Glycerine
Glycerine-USP/BP is derived from Coconut and/or Palm Oil. The refined oil is colorless and odorless.
6. Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that acts as a humectant, a substance that retains moisture, and it is capable of binding over 100 times its weight in water. It is an excellent moisturizer, is well tolerated, and is safe to use during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
7. Murray Koenigii (Curry) Leaf and Cinnamonum Zeylanicum (Cinnamon) Leaf Oils
These two oils provide a broad-spectrum, liquid preservative system. Curry leaf is said to possess antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties, while cinnamon leaf is known to strengthen the immune system against diseases caused by fungi, viruses, and bacteria. The two leaves, when used in conjunction, produce a preservative that is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeast, and mold.
8. Octyl Palmitate
Octyl Palmitate is a skin conditioning emollient produced using palmitic acid, a naturally-occurring fatty acid. It gives cosmetics a smooth, soft appearance.
9. Panthenol
Panthenol is derived from vitamin B5, also known as Pantothenic Acid. It enhances the appearance and feel of hair by increasing hair body, suppleness, or sheen.
10. Phenoxyethanol
The FDA reviewed the safety of phenoxyethanol and approved its use as an indirect food additive. It has not been correlated to hypersensitivity and has been found to be non-phototoxic.
11. Potassium Hydroxide
Potassium hydroxide is a highly alkaline ingredient used in small amounts in cosmetics to modulate the pH of a product.
12. Propanediol
Propanediol is a natural, skin-friendly, preservative-boosting humectant made from renewable corn sugar fermentation. It’s 100% natural and used to replace petroleum-based glycols.
13. Tocopheryl Acetate (Non-Hydroquinone)
Our tocopheryl acetate does not contain hydroquinone, and any product with this ingredient sold at Coastal Classic Creations® does not contain any chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, congenital disabilities, or any other reproductive harm.
